It is nine years since we last met Jesse and Celine , the French-American couple who met on a train in Vienna. They now live in Paris with twin daughters and, following a holiday in Greece, Jesse must send his teenage son to the US. This makes him question his life decisions and puts his relationship with Celine at risk. This is an intimate and intelligent addition to the film series about the couple.
